Canyon’s First Urban Art Contest a Success - Time to Cast your vote for Public’s Choice!

The Canyon corporate team is pleased with the success of its first international Urban Art contest. The contest closed on Friday, 30th of April at midnight (CEST) with over 150 artworks from around the world. The voting process started, and the competition is surely fierce! The final results will be revealed on the 10^th of May 2010.

                            

During the next week, the Canyon corporate team and the professional Jury panel, composed of Brenna from urbanartcore.eu, Lora Zombie and Ryan Seslow, will make their selection among artworks in each category e.g.  Digital Design and Drawings & Paintings.

Visitors to the website http://urban-art.canyon-tech.com can also vote for their favorite pictures until the 8^th of May, at a rate of once a day per work. The graffiti that will score the most points will receive the Public’s Choice award. Everybody is welcome to vote!

Here are the prizes participants can win:

1)      Grand Prix = an iPod Touch 32 GB or a Sony Playstation 3

2)      Runner-up = a Bamboo Fun Tablet or a iPod Nano 16GB

3)      Public’s Choice = an assortment of products from the next Canyon Limited Edition

About two weeks left to submit graffiti to Canyon’s URBAN ART Contest!!

Since the 15th of February, graffiti fans and artists are invited to submit their masterpieces to the first ever international URBAN ART contest from Canyon. You have just over 2 weeks left to show us your talent, as the contest’s deadline was postponed the 30th of April. Visitors to the virtual gallery can now cast their vote for their favorite artworks, so tell your friends and family today!

So far, close to a hundred artworks were uploaded to http://urban-art.canyon-tech.com, and the artists come from around the world: Latvia, Indonesia, Romania, Australia, and many more. Visitors from over 55 countries also browsed through our virtual gallery, which can be viewed on the contest’s site. All entries will be evaluated by the Canyon Corporate team, as well as by an international panel of urban art experts: Ryan Seslow, Brenna from urbanartcore.eu and Lora Zombie.

Interested? Digital design: Includes graphic design and any artwork made with computer-based programs like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.

Drawings and paintings: Anything is allowed: pencils, graffiti, markers, sketches, spray-paint or stencils – as long as the techniques are applied to paper, cardboard or canvas.
