The first International URBAN ART Contest from Canyon officially starts today, Monday the 15th of February 2010. Participants can submit their masterpiece to the contest’s website http://urban-art.canyon-tech.com, and get a chance to win cool prizes such as a iPod Touch, a Sony Playstation 3, a Bamboo Pen & Touch tablet, and more! To inspire us, the design has to be fresh, creative and dynamic, and be inspired from the broad spectrum of urban living: by music, street arts, graffiti, skyscrapers, lights, skateboarding, billboards, fashion, cars, arcade games, the nightlife, etc.
Two categories are open to participants:
• Digital design: Includes graphic design and any artwork made with computer-based programs like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
• Drawings & paintings: Anything is allowed: pencils, graffiti, markers, sketches, spray-paint or stencils – as long as the techniques are applied to paper, cardboard or canvas.
All entries will be evaluated by the Canyon Corporate team, as well as by an international panel of urban art experts. We are proud to count the following members in our jury:
