New product - More mice to come soon!

Canyon will introduce 20 new models of mice in March 2010: Wired or wireless; optical or G-Laser; for gamers or standard use; with colors or not – the choice of models will almost double! "The strategy is to deepen the portfolio, and this will be a great start", explains Ivo van Houten, Marketing Manager. "This will definitely help us meet the demands and preferences of the different end-users in all markets."

Canyon’s URBAN ART Contest Kicks Off Today!

The first International URBAN ART Contest from Canyon officially starts today, Monday the 15th of February 2010. Participants can submit their masterpiece to the contest’s website http://urban-art.canyon-tech.com, and get a chance to win cool prizes such as a iPod Touch, a Sony Playstation 3, a Bamboo Pen & Touch tablet, and more! To inspire us, the design has to be fresh, creative and dynamic, and be inspired from the broad spectrum of urban living: by music, street arts, graffiti, skyscrapers, lights, skateboarding, billboards, fashion, cars, arcade games, the nightlife, etc.

Two categories are open to participants:

• Digital design: Includes graphic design and any artwork made with computer-based programs like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
• Drawings & paintings: Anything is allowed: pencils, graffiti, markers, sketches, spray-paint or stencils – as long as the techniques are applied to paper, cardboard or canvas.

All entries will be evaluated by the Canyon Corporate team, as well as by an international panel of urban art experts. We are proud to count the following members in our jury:

Urban Contest v 1.0

CANYON is proud to announce its first ever International Urban Art Contest! Are you creative? Inspire us! Show us what your artistic interpretation of urban lifestyle is!
Whether you are inspired by music, street arts, graffiti, skyscrapers, lights, skateboarding, billboards, fashion, cars, arcade games, and/or the nightlife, we are interested in anything from the broad spectrum of urban living. To inspire us, the design has to be fresh, creative and dynamic.
You will be able to submit an unlimited amount of artworks in two categories:

Digital design: Includes graphic design and any artwork made with computer-based programs like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
Drawings & paintings: Anything is allowed: pencils, graffiti, markers, sketches, spray-paint or stencils – as long as the techniques are applied to paper, cardboard or canvas.
Here is what you can win in each category:
Grand Prix = an iPod Touch 32 GB or a Sony Playstation 3
Runner-up = a Bamboo Fun Tablet or a iPod Nano 16GB
Public’s Choice = an assortment of products from the next Canyon Limited Edition

Winning artworks will also be featured in a global campaign promoting new Canyon products from a ‘Limited Edition’ to be launched later this spring!

Canyon’s corporate team and a Jury of experts on Urban Art will select the wining artworks in each category. Visitors to the contest’s website will also be able to vote for their favorite artwork!
